Landlords protecting landlords is the processor and you the landlord are the controller. As a controller you have to have verbal agreement from the future tenant that you can use their information that they have supplied. You must ask for a copy of their wage slip/social benefit books. You can normally find the national insurance number displayed on them. Ask for other id bankcards, passport, driving licence or any current bills to make sure the person is bonifide.

As a controller you cannot add any information about a person/tenant that is not correct. It does not matter how upset you are with them, you the controller can not do this.

This will enable us the landlords/investors to have an accurate database for us all to use and benefit from.
